Dad you were so humble in life, you never spoke of your sacrifices made for your family. When you left us, we had to really dig to find out the history of your Naval career in packed boxes in the back recesses of your closets. The only story you shared was the one you told us about your adventure in Operation Deep Freeze, one that you almost never made it back from. We were so proud to learn of all you achievements earned, all you did and the fact that you never once bragged about your those. While I know you can't read this I know you are with me in spirit. I know you are now in a better place and your children take great solace in that, even though we miss you terribly. For you Dad and all the Veterans, thank you for every thing you have sacrificed, for I know it was enormous and for many it was final.
